Cancellation of the Rural Anaesthesia Down Under Conference - 14 to 17 June 2020
As you're aware WA Health has been continuing to strengthen their response to the Novel Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).
With that in mind, Rural Health West and the RADU Committee have decided that the Rural Anaesthesia Down Under Conference scheduled for the 14 to 17 June in Broome will not proceed.
Rural Health West will discuss with the RADU committee on how we may be able to deliver this conference at a later date.
While this is a disappointing outcome for all of us, part of the broader health sector’s planning for the COVID-19 outbreak has involved making sure the right people, protocols and processes are in place to continue delivering high-quality health services across rural and regional WA.
We’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of all healthcare workers at this challenging time.

About the Conference
Join us at the inaugural Rural Anaesthesia Down Under Conference in sunny Broome.
The three-day event will include lectures, small problem based discussions, case studies and hands on skills stations delivered concurrently over the event and facilitated by experienced GP Anaesthetists. The conference will also provide the opportunity to network with fellow GP Anaesthetists and colleagues, whilst experiencing the attractions that this gateway to the Kimberley has to offer.
CPD points
An application for CPD points will be submitted to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Australian College of Remote and Rural Medicine (ACRRM) for the clinical stream of the event.
Rural Procedural Grants Program
