We invite partners and family members to join delegates in Broome for the Rural Anaesthesia Down Under Conference from Sunday 13 June - Wednesday 16 June 2021.

A selection of activities and tours are provided allowing you to experience Broome with ease and enjoyment.  All activities are family friendly and children are welcome to participate, unless stated.  

Please note: Children remain the responsibilty of their parents at all times.

Broome Panoramic Town Tour 
8.00am - 11.30am

This stunning and insightful tour will introduce you to the sights and history of our unique town. Discover major landmarks and local attractions, from ancient rocky outcrops to rugged landscapes and spectacular coastline. Hear about the extraordinary Broome pearling history, Catalina's, see Broome’s oldest buildings, and all the history that makes Broome the Broome that it is today.

Includes: Hotel transfers to and from Cable Beach Resort in air-conditioned coach.

Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tour
10.00am - 3.30pm
Cost      Adult $90 | Child $50 | Infant (2-4yrs) $10

This tour provides a unique insight into the fascinating process of modern cultured pearl farming, from shell to showroom. Learn about the collection and spawning of oysters, the delicate operations of seeding and harvesting oysters and the valuing of pearls to the creation of stunning jewellery. Cruise Willie Creek’s azure waters and view live oysters suspended in their natural environment amongst the spectacular native flora and fauna.

Tuesday 15 June 2021 

Broome Adventure Co – Turtle Kayaking Tour

Experience the natural wonders of Broome’s coastline on a paddle adventure. Take time to explore this amazing marine environment where you have a chance to spot a sea turtle and discover diverse bird and other marine life from your kayak. A popular and fun tour for all ages, on stable and easy to paddle kayaks.

Includes: Hotel transfers to and from Cable Beach Resort in air-conditioned coach, guided tour, kayaks with comfortable backrests, food & drinks for the trip and waterproof bags for personal belongings.

Camel Ride - Pre sunset (30 minutes)

Catch the camel train – an iconic experience! A short ride along beautiful Cable Beach, with the turquoise Indian Ocean as your stunning backdrop. Perfect for families with young children or those who simply want the experience of riding a camel along Cable Beach.

Join your partner and conference delegates for a social night under the stars, whilst enjoying dinner and beverages.

Please note this is an adult only event. Cable Beach Resort can assist families with babysitting requirements. Please contact the Resort Concierge directly to make personal arrangements.  

Wednesday 16 June 2021 

Broome Cultural Tour 
8.30am - 12.00pm
Cost     Adult $70 | Child $70

Join Robert Dann, in the place where he was born, for an amazing morning cultural experience. Learn the local Aboriginal history along with other diverse cultures distinctive to the area and visit iconic attractions around the Broome region. Gain insights into the local bush tucker and hear stories of the Stolen Generation.

Includes: Hotel transfers to and from Cable Beach Resort in air-conditioned coach and walking tour. 

Conference Panel Discussion – Life as a GPA Partner

Malcom Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge
Located 15 minutes drive from Broome and open daily from 2.00pm – 5.00pm, with crocodile feeding tour at 3.00pm. The park is home to breathtakingly colourful birdlife, a cassowary, kangaroos, euros and wallabies, as well as emus, jabirus, snakes and lizards. Broome Explorer Bus
Should you prefer to see the sites on your own terms, travelling with the Broome Explorer Bus is one of the easiest ways to get around. Services run seven days per week with bus stops near to all major accommodation on our way through Town Beach, Chinatown, Boulevard Shops and Cable Beach.
