The days will be a mix of educational components and relaxation. Enjoy Bremer Bays picturesque backdrop whilst learning how to deal with emergency situations, develop your practical skills and professional abilities. At night, socialise at dinner with fellow participants. This is an opportunity to have an off the beaten track experience that is not to be missed.
About the event
The weekend provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the management of medical emergencies in a remote environment with limitation in equipment, personnel and resources:
- Participants will learn in a supportive environment that encourages a relevant, practical and self-directed approach to learning.
- Participants will develop their practical skills and professional abilities such as teaching, teamwork, leadership and dealing with stress and uncertainty.
- Participants will have the opportunity to network with colleagues in a unique setting.
Who should attend?
Early career health professionals who live and work in the Great Southern and have fewer than five years of clinical experience are invited to attend the event, including:
- Medical practitioners including students
- Nurse practitioners and midwifes including students
- Allied health professionals including students
