Needs assessment

Skills or knowledge gained through intended study or training must help meet identified health needs, skill shortages or workforce needs in the community.

Please refer to Appendix A of the Program Guidelines for a list of some of WA's high priority rural health needs, as identified in the Health Workforce Needs Assessment.

Priority will be given to those who meet one or more of these identified primary health and/or workforce needs.

IMPORTANT: Due to the increase in demand for funding through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program we encourage you to include as much information as possible in the next two fields. As a guide we recommend a minimum 100 words on both the 'community benefit' and 'health needs'. This will ensure our review panel have a clear understanding of your situation and can assess your application in full.
