Cancellation FAQs
Please note, we anticipate a large number of enquiries in regard to the cancellation of the WA Rural Health Conference 2020. For enquiries please email the appropriate team member at the listed emails below. We apologise for any inconvenience and will get back to all your enquiries as soon as possible.
WA Rural Health Conference
Will I receive a refund?
Please be assured that all delegates will receive a full refund of their registration fee, including any activities booked as part of the Family Program. While we will work as quickly as possible to process refunds, this may take up to 30 days. If you have not received a refund by 9 April 2020, please contact the Events team.
Will the conference be rescheduled?
No. Rural Health West will now focus on developing quality educational programs for future conferences. We look forward to your support for upcoming education events.
Do I still get CPD points?
As the Conference has been cancelled, you will not be eligible to receive CPD points.
What about the Family Program?
If your family members were registered for the weekend Family Program activities, you will receive a full refund. We hope to incorporate many of these activities into the 2021 programs. If you have any outstanding questions please contact Jen Maughan, Coordinator - Family Program.
WA Rural Health Excellence Awards Gala Dinner
Will the awards be rescheduled?
The 2020 Awards events associated with the conference will be postponed.
I am an Award recipient and received complimentary accommodation, will my accommodation be cancelled?
All accommodation bookings for Award finalists at the Pan Pacific Perth has been cancelled.
WA Rural Health Awards Long Service Celebration Lunch
Will the lunch be rescheduled?
The 2020 Awards events associated with the conference will be postponed.
Pre and post conference workshops
Will I receive a refund?
Please be assured that all delegates will receive a full refund of their registration fee. While we will work as quickly as possible to process refunds, this may take up to 30 days. If you have not received a refund by 9 April 2020, please contact the Events team.
Will the workshops be rescheduled?
We will endeavor to reschedule the workshops for later in the year, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and will advise whether it is possible to reschedule the workshops.
Please note, all face-to-face education activities delivered by Rural Health West scheduled from now until 5 July 2020 have been cancelled. This includes all education workshops in the regions. Please check the Rural Health West website for upcoming workshops scheduled for later in the year.
Do I still get CPD points?
As the workshop has been cancelled, you will not be eligible to receive CPD points.
Will I still get the grant for the workshop?
As the workshop has been cancelled you will not be able to claim the Rural Procedural Grant. Full attendance at a workshop is required to receive the grant.
External Workshops
Are the external workshops held by The Benchmarque Group and RACGP still going ahead?
If you have registered to attend a workshop being held by RACGP or The Benchmarque Group, you should contact them directly to discuss your registration.
Rural Paediatrics Forum
Will I receive a refund?
Please be assured that all delegates will receive a full refund of their registration fee. While we will work as quickly as possible to process refunds, this may take up to 30 days. If you have not received a refund by 9 April 2020, please contact the Events team.
Will the forum be rescheduled?
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will advise whether it is possible to reschedule the forum for later in the year.
Travel
If I booked flights through Corporate Traveller, am I still able to use them?
We understand that many delegates use the conference as an opportunity to plan other activities and engagements while in Perth.
If you still wish to use these flights to travel to Perth for the weekend of 21 and 22 March 2020, you are more than welcome but need to notify the Rural Health West Events team before close of business Monday 16th 2020.
For flights you booked personally, please refer to your airline’s cancellation and refund policy.
Accommodation
I've booked accommodation for the weekend, what do I do?
All accommodation at the Pan Pacific Perth for the WA Rural Health Weekend (inclusive of the Conference, Forum, Workshops, and Awards) booked by Rural Health West or through the link/code provided on the Conference website will be released on Monday 16 March 2020. The Pan Pacific Perth will provide a full refund following the release of accommodation.
If however you wish to still stay at the Pan Pacific Perth for the weekend of 21 and 22 March 2020, please contact the hotel immediately by calling 08 9224 7777 to confirm that you wish to keep your reservation. This must be done by close of business Monday 16 March 2020.
If you have accommodation booked elsewhere, please contact them directly.
Health Workforce Scholarship Funded Places
I've already received a grant for the conference through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) - do I have to pay this back?
If you have been awarded funding through the Health Workforce Scholarship Program to attend the WA Rural Health Conference 2020 your circumstances will need to be discussed on a case by case basis. Please contact hwsp@ruralhealthwest.com.au or phone the HWSP coordinator on 08 6389 4569.
