Children's program

Wanju!

We invite children to attend the Children’s Program activities without their parents, however, should a grown up wish to join the group they are more than welcome. All children's activities are supervised by Rural Health West staff who all hold current Working with Children Check (WWC Check).

The age groups allocated to activities are a guide. If you wish to discuss your child's participation in a particular activity, please contact the Events team events@ruralhw.com.au or telephone 08 6389 4500.

Travel support
Rural Health West offers travel support to one immediate family member (adult or child) for each full Aboriginal Health Conference delegate. Approval must be sought from Rural Health West prior to booking children's flights with Corporate Traveller. Before booking, please see the full travel support terms and conditions on the travel tab.

Babysitting for extended events
Should your family require childcare for events surrounding the conference including pre and post conference workshops, breakfast meetings, early conference sessions please contact Dial an Angel on 08 9364 5488 to book and pay directly. Rural Health West uses this childcare agency for all Perth-based children's programs.

Saturday 19 November 2022

In-house Care (0-4 years old)

Time: Morning session 8.30am - 1.00pm | Afternoon session 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Cost: $15.00 per child per session. Includes morning or afternoon tea and lunch
Venue: Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle

Cared for by kind, mature agency caregivers, your child will have toys and activities provided in an allocated hotel room.  With close proximity to the conference proceedings, parents may access the In-house Care room throughout the day for feeding, settling or other needs.  There will be a quiet adjoining room for sleeping children if required. Parents to provide nappies, drink bottles (including formula) and your child's comforter.

     

Activities for older children (5 years +)

This program is never the same and always a new experience to try, the activities cater for a wide range of interests and skills. 

When: Saturday 19 November, 8.30am - 5.00pm
Cost: $20.00 per child 
Includes: Escape room, Ice skating, morning + afternoon tea, lunch and transport

Escape Room (7 years +)
In The Young Wizard’s Quest you and your team mates will have one hour to restore magic to the school of Wizardry and Witchcraft to retain its secrets.





Ice Skating
It’s going to be the coolest afternoon ice skating, twirling and no doubt tumbling. Our session will include Ice Bykes – custom made drift trikes built just for the ice. All skates and safety equipment will be provided. 



Sunday 20 November 2022

Art Class 

Capturing everyone’s individuality and creativity we will be guided through a wonderful art process to create a unique and quirky pieces of art reflecting own personal styles.

Children will return to the hotel to join parents for the End of Conference lunch.
