Travel

The following travel support for currently practising Obstetric & Gynaecology Specialists and GP Obstetricians who work and live in rural and remote Western Australia will be provided:

  • Fuel reimbursement; or
  • Air travel for doctor.
Please note
Full attendance at the forum is a condition of flight and travel reimbursement by Rural Health West. If you are not in attendance for the whole program, you will be invoiced for the cost of your travel. Tickets booked prior to full registration payment being received by Rural Health West will not be authorised.

Flights

Flights must be booked through Corporate Traveller. Fees for changes to tickets are not reimbursable by Rural Health West. Should you wish to travel to or from Perth outside of the specified forum dates, your fare can still be covered on condition no additional expense to the organisation is incurred.

After registering for the forum, please contact Corporate Traveller as soon as possible to book your flights by emailing Kristie or Cynthia with the following information:

  • Name of traveller as per personal ID
  • City/town of departure
  • Preferred dates and times of travel
  • Contact phone numbers - ideally a mobile and a landline
  • Frequent flyer membership numbers
  • Any other requirements you have

Fuel reimbursement

If you will be driving to Perth for the forum, you are eligible for a reimbursement for your fuel expenses to and from Perth to your home town.

Reimbursement Form will need to be completed and posted to the Events Team at Rural Health West by Friday 16 July 2021. Please ensure that original tax invoices are provided when submitting your claim. EFTPOS receipts will not be accepted.

Parking*

Self-parking for DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront is available at the CPP car park located at 165 Terrace Road, Perth and is $24 per 24 hours with multiple entries and exits.  Guests can collect an entry parking ticket at the car park gate.  Reception will then be able to validate the ticket which is payable at the CPP car park.

Public transport

The DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront is a 7 minute walk from Elizabeth Quay Train Station

Perth’s Central Area Transit (CAT) free bus services operate throughout the CBD and city fringes. For more information about Perth's public transport please visit the Transperth website.

Non-reimbursable items

Rural Health West is unable to reimburse the following items:

  • Flight arrangements not booked through Corporate Traveller
  • Flight changes, additional luggage, or extra fees
  • Accommodation and all related expenses (accommodation rates have been negotiated with the forum venue)
  • Partner and children's travel
  • Taxi charges
  • Parking fees
  • Hire cars
  • Mileage allowance for private vehicles
  • Meals other than specified in the conference program
  • Forum registration fee
