The Rural Health West Family Program invites all family members to join us in Fremantle for the Aboriginal Health Conference 2023. To support you and your family we offer you the following services:
- Travel Support
- Invitation to the Conference Social Program
- Children's Program
- Babysitting referral
Travel support
Rural Health West offers travel support to one immediate family member (adult or child) for each full Aboriginal Health Conference delegate. Approval must be sought from Rural Health West prior to booking children's flight with Corporate Traveller. Before booking, please see the full travel support terms and conditions on the travel tab.
Sundowner
The Sundowner is free of charge for delegates and their families. Enjoy a drink and canapes whilst catching up with friends in a relaxed and informal setting. Pre-registration for family members are essential and tickets can booked for them during the registration process. The sundowner will be held from 5-6:30pm on Saturday 18 November at the Resort Poolside, The Esplanade Hotel by Rydges. For more information visit the Conference Social Program page.
Children's program
The Children’s Program provides:
- Full supervision of children by Rural Health West staff and agency care givers who hold current Working With Children Checks
- Age appropriate activities and toys
- A safe place to play and meet new friends
- Catering and transport
We invite all children 0 – 13 years to join us for the Children's Program without their parents, however should a grown up wish to join the group they are more than welcome. Children are grouped by age to allow us to best cater for their needs and interests.

Babysitting for extended events
Should your family require childcare for events surrounding the conference including pre and post conference workshops, breakfast meetings, early conference sessions please contact Dial an Angel on 08 9364 5488 to book and pay directly. Rural Health West uses this childcare agency for all Perth-based children's programs.

Includes morning/afternoon tea and lunch
Venue The Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle
Cared for by kind, mature agency caregivers, children will be in an allocated hotel suite. With close proximity to the conference proceedings, parents may access the In-house Care room throughout the day for feeding, settling or other needs. There will be a quiet room for sleeping children if required. Parents are to provide nappies, drink bottles (including formula) and your child's comforter.

Pottery school and cooking class
$70.00 per child | Includes morning tea and lunch
Time to get creative, have fun and experience the beauty and chaos of the pottery wheel! Everyone will make a creation to take home.
The afternoon will be spent in a hands-on cooking class to learn how to prepare great food that they can replicate at home. Naturally they get to eat it all too!
Menu: Smoothies; Bread Rolls; Baked Egg & Bacon Muffins, Curry Chicken Puff Pies; Cheat Chocolate Eclairs and Fruit Pavlovas!
