Wanju!
The Rural Health West Family Program invites all family members to join us in Perth for the Aboriginal Health Conference 2024.
Please note, due to changes in funding, this year's Family Program will look different. To continue supporting you and your family, we offer you the following services:
Travel support
Rural Health West offers a travel contribution to immediate family members (adults or children) for each full WA Rural Health Conference delegate. This contribution is in addition to the conference delegate's flat rate for their own travel, and the amount is determined by region. Before booking, please see the full travel support terms and conditions on the Travel tab.
Region | Flat rate travel allowance per delegate | Flat rate travel allowance for immediate family
Kimberley | $1000 | $600 | |
Pilbara | $1000 | $600 | |
Goldfields | $800 | $500 | |
Midwest | $700 | $400 | |
Great Southern | $500 | $300
South West | $300 | $200 | |
Wheatbelt | $300 | $200 |
Reimbursement of Conference Child Care fees
There will be no Children's Program activities (In-House Care or 5 years+) this year. Instead, we encourage families to make private bookings directly with a registered child care provider to meet their individual family needs.
Rural Health West will reimburse full conference delegates up to $400 per family towards child care provided by a registered service in Perth that has an ABN, for the purpose of attending the Aboriginal Health Conference.
Rural Health West has previously used the services of Dial an Angel. If you require a contact., their carers are experienced and meet necessary clearances and checks. Carers will look after children of all ages in a venue of your choice (including the conference hotel, if required) and/or take them on outings.
