Rural Health West invites you and your family to join us in Boorloo, Perth for the Aboriginal Health Conference 2025.
To support you, we are pleased to provide the following services:
- Reimbursement of childcare expenses during the conference
- Conference travel support for immediate family
Conference Childcare Support
If childcare is required to attend the Aboriginal Health Conference 2025, the Rural Health West Family Program will reimburse full conference delegates up to $400 per family towards childcare costs. Families are encouraged to source their own provider and make private bookings to meet individual family needs.
For reimbursement purposes, childcare must be provided by a service that can supply a tax invoice/receipt with an ABN. EPTPOS and credit card vouchers are NOT tax invoices/receipts. Without a tax receipt, reimbursement cannot be processed.
The tax invoice/receipt demonstrating payment of childcare costs and your completed reimbursement claim form must be sent to Rural Health West NO LATER than Monday 25 August 2025.

Travel Support for Immediate Family
Rural Health West offers travel reimbursement to immediate family members (adults or children) of each full Conference delegate. This reimbursement is in addition to the delegate's own travel allowance.
For each full conference delegate, immediate family can claim reimbursement for their travel costs (airfare or fuel) up to a regional cap of $200 to $600 per family, depending on region. Delegates must attend both conference days in full to remain eligible for travel reimbursement, including claims of travel reimbursement for immediate family.

Please note: The capped travel allowance for immediate family represents the maximum amount that Rural Health West will reimburse per family (not per family member) for travel only, per full conference delegate. It is not a general flat rate reimbursement amount, and proof of purchase is required.
Conference Age Guidelines
Please note:
- Children are not permitted in conference sessions, except for infants (where necessary).
- To ensure compliance with Medicines Australia regulations, guests under 18 are unable to enter the trade exhibition room. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.
