Family Program

The Rural Health West Family Program invites all family members to Perth for the WA Rural Health Conference 2024.

Please note due to changes in funding this year's Children's Program looks different. To continue support for you and your family we offer the following services.

  • Conference Travel Support for immediate family members
  • Reimbursement of Conference Child Care costs

Conference Travel Support for immediate family members

Rural Health West offers a financial contribution towards the travel of immediate family members (adult or child) for each full WA Rural Health Conference delegate. This is in addition to the conference delegate's flat rate for their own travel, and the amount is determined by region. Before booking, please see the full travel support terms and conditions on the travel tab.

Reimbursement of Conference Child Care fees

There will be no Children's Program activities (In House Care or 5years +) this year. Rather, we encourage families to make private bookings directly with child care agency Dial and Angel to meet your individual family needs.

Rural Health West will reimburse full conference delegates up to $400 per family for child care provided by Dial an Angel in Perth, for the purpose of attending the Rural Health West conference.

Dial an Angel have been supporting the Rural Health West Children's Program for many years. They are professional, caring and attentive in their service. All Carers are experienced and meet necessary clearances and checks. Carers will look after children of all ages in a venue of choice (conference hotel if required) and/or take them on outings.
