Rural Health West Welcome

On behalf of Rural Health West, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the WA Rural Health Conference 2026, to be held at Crown Perth on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March 2026.

This year’s theme, Future-Proofing Rural Health: Innovation, Equity, and Resilience, reflects our shared commitment to preparing for the next decade of rural health in WA.

As rural and remote communities continue to navigate evolving challenges from climate change to workforce shortages and rapid technological transformation, the need to strengthen our systems, empower our people, and innovate with purpose has never been more crucial.

This theme is about working together to build a sustainable and equitable future for rural healthcare. It invites collaboration across sectors and disciplines, encouraging us all to think creatively about how we can support resilient communities and deliver culturally safe, accessible, and high-quality care for everyone who calls rural WA home.

As Chief Executive Officer of Rural Health West, I am passionate about fostering communities of practice, clinicians and health professionals supporting one another through both structured and informal connections. These communities of shared purpose and knowledge are essential to a thriving rural health workforce. The WA Rural Health Conference is a living example of this and a space where people come together, aligned in their goals and dedication to improving health outcomes for rural and remote communities.

The conference also plays a pivotal role in knowledge translation, turning research, clinical experience, and evidence-based insights into practical strategies that strengthen day-to-day practice.

Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, delegates will have the opportunity to learn from peers and leaders who are driving innovation, championing equity, and building resilience across the sector.

We are delighted to present an inspiring program featuring a dynamic lineup of speakers, engaging panels, and the return of last year’s highly popular WA Rural Health Debate. These sessions will challenge perspectives, celebrate success stories, and spark new ways of thinking about how we can collectively future-proof rural health.

The WA Rural Health Conference continues to grow as a vibrant space for learning, collaboration, and celebration.

I look forward to welcoming you to Perth in March 2026 for what promises to be another uplifting and memorable gathering of our incredible rural health community.

WA Country Health Service Welcome

On behalf of the WA Country Health Service, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you all for the WA Rural Health Conference 2026.

This year’s theme, “Future‑Proofing Rural Health: Innovation, Equity, and Resilience”, reflects our shared commitment to advancing healthcare in regional and remote Western Australia. As our communities continue to face evolving challenges, our ability to adapt, collaborate and innovate will be essential.

At WACHS, we recognise that the strength of rural health lies not just in services or infrastructure, but in people who bring care to often‑underserved communities each day. The Rural Health Conference is a unique opportunity for all of us to come together — to share insights, celebrate successes, explore new models, and support one another in building resilient rural health systems.

Over the course of the conference, I encourage you to actively engage, ask bold questions and champion ideas that will drive better outcomes for country communities.

I look forward to meeting many of you in Perth in March, and to what promises to be an energising and meaningful gathering of the rural health workforce. Together, we can help ensure that every Western Australian, regardless of where they live, has access to high‑quality, culturally safe, and sustainable health care.
