Bursary Application

Supporting Consumer and Carer Voices

The Rural and Remote Mental Health Conference 2025 is committed to elevating the voices of people with lived experience. We are pleased to offer bursary support for mental health consumers and carers to attend the Conference.

Bursaries aim to reduce barriers and ensure the lived experience of individuals in rural and remote areas is represented in meaningful ways.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible to apply for a bursary if you:

  • Identify as a mental health consumer or carer
  • Reside in a rural or remote area of Western Australia

We particularly welcome applications from:

  • First Nations people
  • People from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Young carers and consumers
  • LGBTQIA+ individuals
  • Those who have not previously attended

What Does the Bursary Cover?

Each bursary may cover some or all of the following:

  • Full conference registration
  • Travel costs (flights or fuel)
  • Accommodation
  • Meal Allowance
  • Ticket to the Conference Dinner

Note:

  • Partial bursaries may also be awarded depending on available funding and individual needs.
  • Applicants may be accompanied by a support person.  The bursary can cover shared accommodation (ie twin share), but does not cover the travel or meal costs of the support person or a separate room.

Applications are made online using a short form.  You will be asked to provide:

  • Contact details
