Funding Support

Rural Health West is committed to supporting rural health professionals in attending the WA Rural Health Conference 2026. We offer funding support through different programs to make participation more accessible, fostering opportunities for connection, learning, and sharing insights that strengthen rural healthcare in Western Australia.

Health Workforce Scholarship Program

Scholarships or bursaries are available for medical, nursing/midwifery, dental, allied health and Aboriginal health practitioners providing primary health care services in rural and remote Western Australia in private practice, an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS), Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHO) or a non-government or not-for-profit organisation. You are not eligible if you are employed solely by the State Government.

To apply for HWSP funding, you must meet the eligibility requirements. The full eligibility requirements and exclusions are detailed on the website here.

Travel Support 

Rural Health West will provide the travel support for eligible delegates with full attendance (both days in full) at the conference. For more information please visit our Travel page.

Accommodation Reimbursement

An accommodation reimbursement is available for eligible health professionals who work and live in rural and remote Western Australia who choose to stay at the conference venue.

Eligible delegates staying at a Crown Perth hotel on Friday 13 March 2026 and/or Saturday 14 March 2026 can receive a reimbursement of $100 per night, up to a maximum of $200 per delegate (per room). 

Book your own accommodation and receive a reimbursement from Rural Health West upon receipt of proof of purchase and a completed reimbursement claim form. Please ensure this is emailed to the Events Team by Friday 27 March 2026.

Please note:  Full attendance (Saturday 14 March to Sunday 15 March 2026) of the conference is required for Rural Health West to provide the accommodation reimbursement. It is vital that you scan into every session to record your attendance. If you are not in attendance for the full conference program, your reimbursement will not be processed
